Hi there!! I have taken this opportunity to share answers to some of the most frequently asked questions I get from my clients. If you have a question about working together that is not on this page, do not hesitate to email me at Kimber@AdhdPartners.com. Don't be shy. I am happy to hear from you so ask away!
In a nut shell, coaching is future focused and action oriented. Mental Fitness is a key action as we often sabotage our own forward movement towards meeting our full potential in all aspects of life. I can guarantee that the same way you self-sabotage in your career is also impacting your personal relationships.
The good news is that this means that improvements in one area of life can synergistically have a positive impact in other areas (when you consciously choose to allow it!)
The International Coach Federation is the governing body for coaches globally who explains coaching this way:
The role of a Professional Coach is to:
"provide an ongoing partnership designed to help (their) clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives.
Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has."
For me, coaching provided the answers to how to be happy, peaceful and powerful in my life. It gave me the tools to go after what I want and the awareness, grounding and personal insight to be able to find peace and balance in the process.
Coaching gave me a very practical and logical foundation to make my life work. It also explained some of the things that had previously seemed like "magical thinking". For instance, the idea that "what you think about grows" seemed a bit hard to swallow—I mean, come on, how can what I think about (the stuff in my head that I don't even speak) impact my reality? Well, using basic models and clear examples, coaching showed me why what you focus on creates your life. There is nothing touchy-feely about it!
From my own experience, I have been hired by university professors, entrepreneurs, executives, students, and committed individuals. I support everything from increasing productivity and time management, to developing leadership ability, to losing 50 pounds. If we look at the people at the top of any field, 9 times out of 10, they did it with support. Whether we are talking about top athletes or academy award-winning actors, you will, more often than not, find a coach behind the success story. While the client’s titles and coaching focuses are diverse, the one common denominator is that coaching is for people who are mentally healthy and actively seeking more from themselves and from their lives.
The answer to this question is really up to you. What is it that you want for your life? What are your dreams? If you want it chances are we can make it happen.
• Become someone who creates and lives their life on purpose.
• Learn how to love yourself – just be you, showing up comfortably and powerfully in any situation.
• Find your soul work – work that inspires you – the work you were built for.
• Find great love without compromise.
• Break out of a rut and shift behaviors that are not supporting you.
• Rock your goals.
• Fall in love with life and consistently showing up as your best self and meeting your full potential (yes, there's a program for that ;-)).
• Gaining clarity, insight and awareness to powerfully move forward when you are fuzzy and stuck.

The key to getting the most out of coaching is your mindset. Are you in place where you are ready. willing, and able to make active changes in your life? Push yourself outside of your comfort zone in order to grow? Willing to be open and honest with your coach about is really going on? Open to accountability, feedback, and digging below the surface to get to the root cause of your challenges? Hang tough when things don't go how you had hoped because that is when you learn the most?
If the answer is a "Hell Yes, Coach! Put me in" then coaching is an amazing fit for you.
Perfection is not required
YES! I work with all of my clients over the phone. This is how I have been coached and this is how I work with my clients. I have clients in Canada and the US, on both coasts, so it is a very natural process. I have also found that the work over the phone is not only convenient for the client, but also creates an opening for a person to really share themselves in a way that is often easier over the phone.
Groups are done through Zoom and all forms, payments are done virtually to make it quick and simple for you.
Clients are coached for 45 minutes each week, over the phone. As for the duration of the relationship, many of my clients have been with me for 1-2 years. The minimum time we would spend together is four months. Four months allows us to get to the meat of what you are going after and get a solid Mental Fitness foundation. It provides support and coaching to ensure you do not have just a flash of success, but that you have actually developed the tools, and resolve to maintain momentum beyond the coaching relationship.
Great question. To ensure that you get the most value out of coaching, we use a variety of tools and worksheets. All clients will have access to the PQ App as they build their Mental Fitness. Private clients will also utilize my coaching platform to help them stay on track and get things done. Here is a quick peek at what a Metric looks like in the platform(hover over the entries for each day).
The Mental Fitness program that we will be working through together was created by Shirzad Chamine. Shirzad is the author of the New York Times bestselling Positive Intelligence. Shirzad has lectured on Positive Intelligence at Stanford University and has trained faculty at Stanford and Yale business schools.
Shirzad has been the CEO of the largest coach training organization in the world. A preeminent C-suite advisor, Shirzad has coached hundreds of CEOs and their executive teams. His background includes a BA in psychology, an MS in electrical engineering, and an MBA from Stanford.
The breakthrough contribution of Positive Intelligence research is through factor analysis to discover the core factors that impact both performance and wellbeing. This research revealed that there are only 10 negative response factors (10 Saboteurs) and only 5 positive response factors (5 Sage powers).
Discovering these root-level factors of performance and wellbeing dramatically simplifies personal and professional development. Intercepting one’s Saboteur and activating one’s Sage automatically results in a wide array of impacts including stress management, relationship improvement, performance, selling and persuasion, creativity, leadership, resilience, and happiness.
This is because we are rewiring the brain at the root level rather than treating symptoms.
